by Benedict Joseph Maria von Koller (1769 - 1798?)

Die Sinnenweihe
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Schlafende hab' ich belauscht,
in ihren Reizen mich berauscht.
So sah den Amor Psyche liegen,
doch himmlischer war mein Vergnügen.

Auf ihrer Stirne schwebt' ein Traum,
ihr frommer Busen regt' sich kaum;
so leise wallet und gelinde
die gold'ne Saat im Abendwinde.

Ihr Odem würzte süß die Luft
mit göttergleichem Ambraduft;
die Seele schwebte auf den Lippen,
ein Engel schien sie wegzunippen.

Es schwieg der Sinne Lustgewühl,
und heiliger ward mein Gefühl.
Wo Unschuld aus den Reizen blicket,
die Unschuld nur das Herz entzücket.
