by Alfred Friedmann (1845 - 1923)

Warnung
Language: German (Deutsch)
Nimm Dich in Acht, o Fischerknab',
Senkt' nicht Dein Ruder ein!
Du gräbst Dir sonst Dein eigen Grab,
Mußt in die Fluth hinein!

O brich' das Glas des Seees nicht,
Mit Deinem Ruderschlag!
Die Nixe sieht Dein Bild, so licht,
Wallt auf, und greift danach.

Du weißt nicht, was die Ruhe ist
Dem Herzen und dem See,
Darunter schläft gar arge List --
Weck' nicht Dein eigen Weh'!
