Zwei vierstimmige Männerchöre , opus 31

by Friedrich Ernst Char (1865 - 1932)

1. Waldesstille  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Süsse, traute Waldesstille,
O wie lieb' ich dich so sehr!
Mich bezaubert deine Fülle,
Deine Ruhe ernst und hehr.

Alle wirren Weltgedanken
Bleiben schweigend hinter mir;
Wilde Blumen mich umwanken,
Welcher Friede über mir!

Welch' geheimnisvolles Flüstern,
Welcher wunderbare Sang
Freudig aus den hohen, düstern
Zweigen mir entgegen drang!

Voll der Pfad von Maienglocken
Und sie schau'n hervor so traut,
Ferne tönt nur leises Locken,
Eines Vögleins Sehnsuchtslaut.

Süße, traute Waldesstille,
O wie lieb' ich dich so sehr!
Mich bezaubert deine Fülle,
Deine Ruhe ernst und hehr!
