Zwei Männerchöre , opus 174

by (Peter) Nicolai von Wilm (1834 - 1911)

1. Braunäuglein  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Braunäuglein, die mein Leben war
Und alle meine Freude,
Bist du geschieden ganz und gar
Und läßt mich ganz dem Leide?

Braunäuglein, wenn die Drossel singt
In kühler Abendstunde,
Da denk' ich wohl: Wie süß erklingt
Der Klang von deinem Munde!

Braunäuglein -- o, du weißt es nicht,
Was du mir hast genommen! -
Ich mein' als wie vom Sonnenlicht:
Du müßtest wiederkommen!
