Ich muß zur weiten Welt hinaus.

  Am Pfade dicht die Rose blüht,
So duftig rot, so eigen;
Ich schau' auf sie -- die Thräne glüht,
Da jedes Wort muß schweigen.
Ich grüße still zu Thal, zu Thal
