Blüthenschnee [weht durch]1 die Lande 
Frühling läßt die Flagge weh'n, 
Losgetrennt sind alle Bande 
Und die Lust will neu ersteh'n.

Auf den Feldern, auf den Wiesen 
Tummelt sich der Kinder Schaar, 
Rings ein fröhliches Genießen, 
Wo erstarrt das Leben war. 

Und der Jubel und das Singen 
Und der Glocken froher Klang 
Bis zum stillen Wald sich schwingen, 
Wo ich geh' den Bach entlang. 

Glückverheißend läuft die Sonne 
Wie ein Herold vor mir her, 
Und ich lebe, und ich liebe -- 
Selig Herz, was willst du mehr!
