2. Heimat
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
Laßt mich einmal nur
meine Heimatflur,
mein verlornes Glück erschaun,
wollte ungesehn
ganz von ferne stehn
wie die Bettlerin am Zaun.

Ach, den Kirschenbaum,
weiß im Blütenflaum,
laßt mich sehn im Abendstrahl,
weiß die Kirsche stund,
als dein süßer Mund
mich geküßt zum letztenmal.

Tausend Blüten sacht
schwebten durch die Nacht
in dem stillen Vollmondlicht,
irrten wunderbar dir um Haupt und Haar,
um dein stilles Angesicht.

Neuer Frühlingsduft
schwebet durch die Luft
von dem alten Heckenzaun
Laßt; mich einmal nur
meine Heimatflur,
mein verlornes Glück erschaun.

One catalogue seems to indicate the author's name for Haas's setting is T. Sturm-Wegmann; Graener's score indicates the author as P. Sturm-Wegmann.
