Language: German (Deutsch)
Gute Nacht!  die Sterne leuchten
Droben auf in stiller Pracht,
Leuchten dir, du liebes Mädchen,
An dein Lager;  gute Nacht!

Gute Nacht!  an deinem Lager
Halten Englein fromme Wacht;
Und ein treues Menschenherze
Wünscht dir innig:  gute Nacht!

Schließe nun die blauen Augen,
Die mir heut so lieb gelacht!
Schlummre sanft, du einzig Holde,
Gute Nacht, gute Nacht!
