Zwei Lieder für 1 Singstimme mit Pianoforte , opus 17

by Oscar Nathan Straus (1870 - 1954)

1. Frühlingsnacht  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Es haucht in's feine Ohr der Nacht
Die Nachtigall ihr Maienlied;
Rings Alles ruht, nur Liebe wacht,
Man sieht sie nicht, die Alles sieht.
Rein spiegelt sich die Herrlichkeit
Des Himmels in des Stromes Lauf,
Und alles Lebens Widerstreit
Löst sich in Licht und Wohlklang auf.

Text Authorship:

  • by Friedrich Martin von Bodenstedt (1819 - 1892), no title
