Brûle feu, cuis fricot : La poule jaune est dans le pot D'émail bleu ; Brûle feu, Mon amoureux viendra bientôt. Peigne, brosse, houppe, Dépêchez-vous de me parer : Ma mère coupe Un peu de bois mort dans la haie du pré ; Mon amoureux doit se presser sur la route. L'horloge a sonné, mon cœur bat plus vite... Feu, ne brûle pas si fort Et vous ma mère n'apportez plus de bois mort : La poule est trop cuite Et mon amoureux ne vient pas encore.
