1. Hommage à la fontaine

L'aube et le soir la regardent de loin
midi lui donne un franc baiser
et la nuit se penche sur elle

Je suis le Printemps matinal
qui fait saigner sur toi la branche du pêcher

Je suis l'Été, le baiser mâle
qui te donne à midi le moissonneur hâlé

Je suis l’Automne qui s’attarde
à goûter des fruits mûrs au bord de ton basin

Et je suis l’Hiver aux mains vides
qui t’écoute pleurer dans la nuit désolée

sur la fontaine peinte où des amours s'ébattent
j'ai posé l'olive, le thym et la première jacinthe.
Puis j'ai brûlé l'encens pour les amours amis,
pour la blonde lumière et la vie.
La fontaine m'a dit merci
avec sa bouche de cristal.

5. L'antique fontaine

Sous sa voûte de lierre dru,
l'antique fontaine pleure l'heure écoulée
et les dieux disparus,
par le triple sanglot de ses trois ruisselets.
Jadis la nymphe nue s'y voyait érigée
debout sur la coquille ;
ou bien encore, narquois,
le faune adolescent faisait l'amusant simulacre
de marier le son ténu de sa syrinx de pierre
à celui, limpide, de l'eau
sous le lierre.
Et puis vinrent les temps ingrats
et la voûte fut vide et la socle vert désert.
Mais moi, maître actuel de la source et du champ,
je fais le vœux d'orner d'une image divine
la place consacrée 
et dis qu'un jour prochain,
un Hermès bleu, tête penchée,
d'un index attentif fera signe d'écouter l'eau.
