Soffre talor del vento
i primi insulti il mare
né a cento legni e cento
che van per l’onde chiare
intorbida il sentier.
 
Ma poi se il vento abonda
il mar s’inalza e freme
e colle navi affonda
tutta la ricca speme
dell’avido nocchier.
