                          la vita nella gloria trionfale, perchè 
                          così dolente hai la pupilla? 
Perchè l'ombra passò sulla tua testa 
                          bionda, perchè nell'empito del male 
                          hai chinata la fronte alla tempesta? 

Sei così bianca come non ti vidi 
                          mai: vieni: sul mio petto dolcemente 
                          posa la fascia; perchè non sorridi? 
Guarda: laggiù ci attende la casetta 
                          come un nido di rare incantagioni, 
                          esulta al ritmo delle mie canzoni, 
                          e sogna sotto i miei baci, o diletta.
