Und Gott befiehlt mir

Language: German (Deutsch)
Und Gott befiehlt mir, daß ich schriebe :
        Den Königen sei Grausamkeit.
Sie ist der Engel vor der Liebe,
        und ohne diesen Bogen bliebe
mir keine Brücke in die Zeit.

Und Gott befiehlt mir, daß ich male :
Die Zeit ist mir mein tiefstes Weh,
so legte ich in ihre Schale :
        das wache Weib, die Wundenmale,
den reichen Tod (daß er sie zahle) ,
        der Städte bange Bacchanale,
        den Wahnsinn und die Könige.

Und Gott befiehlt mir, daß ich baue :
Denn König bin ich von der Zeit.
Dir aber bin ich nur der graue
        Mitwisser deiner Einsamkeit.
Und bin das Auge mit der Braue ...

Das über meine Schulter schaue
von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit.
