3. Die Verlassene  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Aus schweren Träumen wach' ich auf, --
Er kam die Nacht zu mir;
Nun dämmert grau der Tag herauf,
Und einsam bin ich hier.

Es war so bleich sein Angesicht,
Verworren hing sein Haar,
Doch schien sein Auge mild und licht,
Doch klang sein Wort so klar.

Er sprach zu mir von alter Zeit,
Von Sang und Spiel und Tanz;
Er bot, von Blüthen überschneit,
Mir einen grünen Kranz.

Aus schweren Träumen wach' ich auf, --
Er kam die Nacht zu mir;
Nun dämmert grau der Tag herauf,
Und einsam bin ich hier.
