Note: this setting is made up of several separate texts.

Maidle laß dir 'was verzähle,
Geb' mer uff dei' Herzche' Acht,
Is es aach gut eingemacht,
'S wär' halt doch vielleicht zu stehle';
Un deß weescht de selber gut,
'S Herz is mehr als e' Vermöge'
Un gar viel is d'ran gelege',
Wann mer deß verliere' thut.

Ganz was anners, liebes Schätzche'
Is es aber, wann mit Art
Dir e' Freund deß Herz verwahrt
Am e' gute' sichre' Plätzche'.
Do is nix d'rbei rischquirt,
Drum, so geb mir's ufzuhebe',
Will jo gern mei' ganzes Lebe'
Sorge', daß 'm nix passirt.

Will's behüte mit beid' Auge
Sanft es trage auf der Hand
Und traktiere mit Verstand.
All' mei Sehne, all' mei Trachte
Uf des Kleinod ist gestellt,
Denn a Herzle wie mei Schätzle,
Amr kois meh uf der Welt.
