Waldwärts, waldwärts immerdar.

Lustig rauscht behend und hell
Bergesab zum Wald die Well',
Wandervogel, froh und frei,
Fliegt zum frischen Wald im Mai.

Wolke selber ohne Ruh',
Schifft dem fernen Buhlen zu,
Und an seine starke Brust
Wirft sie sich voll Liebeslust.

Seh' ich fern' in Morgens Glüh'n
Auf dem Berg' das frische Grün,
Ach, da zieht’s auch mich mit Hast
