Nimm sie hin denn, diese Lieder
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FRE ITA LIT SPA
Nimm sie hin denn, diese Lieder,
Die ich dir, Geliebte, sang,
Singe sie dann abends wieder
Zu der Laute süßem Klang.

Wenn das Dämmrungsrot dann ziehet
Nach dem stillen blauen See,
Und sein letzter Strahl verglühet
Hinter jener Bergeshöh;

Und du singst, was ich gesungen,
Was mir aus der vollen Brust
ohne Kunstgepräng erklungen,
Nur der Sehnsucht sich bewußt:

Dann vor diesen Liedern weichet
Was geschieden uns so weit,
Und ein liebend Herz erreichet
Was ein liebend Herz geweiht.

Neem ze aan dan, deze lied'ren
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)  after the German (Deutsch)
Neem ze aan dan, deze lied'ren,
Die 'k voor jou, geliefde, zong.
Laat opnieuw ze 's avonds klinken,
Zoetgevooisd, met luit en tong.

Als het scheem'ringsrood dan wegtrekt
Naar het stille blauwe meer,
En zijn laatste straaltje uitdooft
Achter gindse bergen, teer,

En jij zingt wat 'k heb gezongen,
Wat eerst aan mijn volle borst
Ongekunsteld is ontsprongen,
Uit verlangens sterke dorst:

Dan zal voor die lied'ren wijken
Wat zo ver ons beiden scheidt,
Zal een minnend hart bereiken
Waaraan 't zich heeft toegewijd.
