Treib' ich die Kühe zur Weide
Language: German (Deutsch)
Treib' ich die Kühe zur Weide
Flötend am Morgen dahin,
Prangt sie im perlendem Kleide
  Rose! so denk' ich dein!

Blicke ich suchend die Ziegen
Nieder ins freundliche Thal,
Seh' ich dein Hüttchen hier liegen:
  Rose! so denk' ich dein!

Schwebet im goldenen Strahle
Wieder die Sonne hinab;
Tönen die Glocken im Thale:
  Rose! so denk' ich dein!

Toben im wilden Getümmel,
Stürme vom hohen Gebirg;
Lachet uns freundlich der Himmel:
  Rose! so denk' ich dein!

Wenn sich die Fluthen sanft kräuseln
Mögen ins liebende Herz
Spielende Weste dir's säuseln:
  "Rose! stets denkt' er dein."
