Language: German (Deutsch)
Zieh' hinüber, weiße Taube,
Flieg' zu meinem Mädchen hin,
Sage ihr, daß ich zum Raube,
Ach! dem Gram, den Sehnsucht bin!
Eile, eile, eile,
Raste nie,
Grüße sie!

Zieht hinüber, Abendlüfte,
Kühlet ihrer Wangen Glut,
Bringt zurück der Rose Düfte,
Die an ihrem Busen ruht.
Eilet, eilet, eilet,
Rastet nie,
Grüßet sie!

Zieh' hinüber, Mondesleuchten,
Küßen schließ' das Auge ihr.
Sollten Thränen es befeuchten? --
Mondstrahl, bringe Kunde mir!
Eile, eile, eile,
Raste nie,
Grüße sie!
