possibly by Johanna Schopenhauer (1766 - 1838) and possibly by Gottlob Friedrich Gustav von Ludwiger (1797 - 1877), as Gottlob von Deuern

Sehnsucht nach Ruhe
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wundes Herz, hör' auf zu klagen,
  Lege endlich dich zur Ruh';
Alle Stern' am Himmel sagen
  Dir ja Trost und Frieden zu.

Armes Herz, hör auf zu bangen,
  Freuden hat das Leben viel;
Endlich wirst auch du gelangen
  An das schöne, ferne Ziel,

Thörig Herz, hör' auf zu sehnen,
  Nimm, was Dir die Stunde gibt;
Warum blickest du in Thränen
  Nach der Zukunft tief betrübt?

Wildes Herz, hör' auf zu hoffen,
  Und begnüge Dich mit dir;
Nie ist uns der Himmel offen
  Reines Glück ist niemals hier.

Warmes Herz, hör' auf zu schwärmen,
  Gib nicht mehr den Schatten Raum
Niemals wirst du dich erwärmen
  An dem schnell entschwund'nen Traum!

Herz, mein Herz, hör' auf zu klagen,
  Lege endlich dich zur Ruh'
Alle Stern' am Himmel sagen
  Dir ja Trost und Frieden zu.

Confirmed with Stunden der Andacht in poetischer Form, dargeboten von Carl Geissler, Leipzig, Verlag von Ludwig Schumann, 1839, pages 439-440, attributed to "v. Deuern". Note: the attribution of Johann Schopenhauer may have arisen because she quoted the song text in a novel. We will add more information when we track down the source.
