by Julius Karl Reinhold Sturm (1816 - 1896)

Im kühlen Schatten, auf sonnigen Höh'n
Language: German (Deutsch)
Im kühlen Schatten, auf sonnigen Höh'n
Wie blüht ihr Blümlein so wunderschön!
Euch hat ein Engel so reicht bemalt,
Dass ihr in Farben des Himmels strahlt.

O lasst euch pflücken, die Sonne glüht;
Ihr seid am Abend ja doch verblüht.
Der kranken Mutter bring ich den Strauß,
Trag ihr den Frühling ins stille Haus.

Im kühlen Schatten, auf sonnigen Höhn,
Wie blüht ihr Blümlein so wunderschön!
Nun freu dich wieder, mein Mütterlein,
Dich heilen Blumen und Sonnenschein!
