by Eino Leino (1878 - 1926)

Tuli tuoksuvat illat ja tyynet veet
Language: Finnish (Suomi)
Tuli tuoksuvat illat ja tyynet veet,
kevätkuutamot koivujen alla,
tuli lemmen kaihot ja kyyneleet
ja lemmen hehkut ja halla.

Voi kuinka ne lemusi kukkaset
mun impeni ikkunalla!
Voi, kuinka ne helisi kanteleet
mun impeni akkunan alla!

Ja kannel se helkkää vieläkin.
Mut kuihtuneet ovat kukkaset,
syys tullut on maahan ja sydämihin.

Mun lempeni kieliä kuule sa et;
minä yksin yössä murehdin,
mut muiden sa murheita kuuntelet.
