Kom dwalen over de bloemenwei --
de roze sluimert, de sterre lacht,
in stille droomen wasemt de hei.

O kom met mij in den lentenacht.
Het leeft, en het hijgt en het mint daar al!
De loveren lispen, het windje smacht,
en donkere wegelen lokken door 't dal.

O kom met mij in den lentenacht!
De heuvel glimt in den maneschijn, --
daar hellen ons hoofden te saam, zoo zacht,
en gansch de natuur zal ons eigen zijn.
