An ein kleines Mädchen

Language: German (Deutsch)
Tanze, liebe Kleine, hüpfe
Durch dies Leben froh und frei;
Und des Lebens Kummer schlüpfe,
Trautchen, leicht bei dir vorbei!

Fühle jede reine Freude!
Öffne deine kleine Brust
Jeder Wonn' im Rosenkleide,
Jeder frommen Jugendlust!

Brich', o Klein', in deinem Lenze
Blümchen dir bei jedem Schritt!
Pflücke, binde sie und kränze
Deine kleine Stirn damit.

Denn nicht immer wirst du spielen,
Ach, dein Frühling fährt dahin! --
Noch ist's Zeit, ihn ganz zu fühlen;
Fühl' ihn, kleine Spielerin!
