Frühling im Walde
(Sung text for setting by E. Hermes)
 Matches base text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Im Wald ist's hold und lenzig,
Pirol und Finke singt,
Der Frühstrahl goldenglänzig
Das junge Laub durchbringt.

Waldmeisterlein und Veilchen
Stehn duftend in die Rund',
Und harrst du noch ein Weilchen,
So blüht der ganze Grund.

Die kaum befreiten Wellchen
Versucht der flinke Quell,
Und trotz der tausend Fällchen,
Kommt' er zur rechten Stell'.

Horch, hämmernd durch die Halde
Ertönt des Spechtes Schlag,
Als pocht' das Herz vom Walde
Still in den Frühlingstag!
