O Maria, lofweerde maagd,
geen een' zoo schoone, daar dag op daagt,
en wierd er ooit geboren:
ende, 'n waart gij, eene, geboren ooit,
zoo lagen alomme, wij al verstrooid,
ellendigen, en verloren.
In Aerts' setting, the spelling has been modernized:
een' -> één;
zoo -> zo
schoone -> schone
eene -> ene
