Twym głosem szeptał wciąż
I ramion twych oplotem 
Owijał mnie, jak wąż.

Ktoś z nieba błękit zlal, 
I długo morze grało, 
Księżyc złoto siał. 

I tak skroś noc do świtu 
Przez księżycowąjaśń
Ktoś z szumu i błękitu
Tkał czarodziejską baśń.

Note for Różycki's setting: stanza 1, line 2, words 1-3 ("Wiatr na morzu") revert to the original "Na morzu wicher" in the repetition.
