Das Zauberlied
(Sung text for setting by M. Stange)
 Matches base text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Mädchen, hüte dich vor Rosen,
Blüten, weiß wie Schnee,
Myrthe, Rosmarin, Reseden
bringen Herzensweh.
Bei der Sterne leuchtend Strahlen,
wenn die Sonne schied,
singen sie von Liebe leise
dir ein Zauberlied.

Mädchen, hüte dich vor Klängen,
die so sehnsuchtsmild
bei der Rosen duftend Blühen
tönen im Gefild'.
Ach, das ist ein süßes Locken
von der Höh' zu Tal,
Liebe strömet in die Seele,
in das Herz die Qual.

Mädchen, hüt' dich vor dem Sänger,
der so schmeichelnd singt;
raubt dir allen Herzensfrieden,
den nichts wiederbringt.
Seine Weise nachzusingen
wirst du nimmer müd',
denn es schlägt in gold'ne Fesseln
dich sein Zauberlied.
