Wie Duft aus hellen Frühlingstagen
(Sung text for setting by C. Noseda)
 Matches base text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wie Duft aus hellen Frühlingstagen
bricht's plötzlich über mich herein,
und Nachtigallen hör' ich schlagen
im warmen Morgensonnenschein.

Ein leuchtend Blüh'n auf allen Wegen,
wie junges Grün umschwillt's den Fuß,
und auch im Herzen, welch ein Regen
wie bei dem ersten Sonnenkuss.

Wie doch im grauen Nebelraume
solch himmlisch Wunder mag gescheh'n?
Ich glaub', ich hab' in wachem Traume
dein Frühlingsaugenpaar geseh'n.

Composition:

Set to music by Carl Noseda , "Wie Duft aus hellen Frühlingstagen", published 1894 [ voice and piano ], from Drei Lieder für 1 Singstimme mit Pianoforte, no. 1, Leipzig, Schuberth & Co.

Text Authorship:
