Composition:

    Set to music by (Philipp) Friedrich Silcher (1789 - 1860), "Ach, banges Herz im Leichenthal", stanza 12 [ TTBB chorus a cappella ], confirmed with Volkslieder gesammelt und für vier Männerstimmen gesetzt, neue Ausgabe, Tübingen: H. Laupp'schen Buchhandlung, 1902. Appears in Trauergesänge, no. 1, pages 341 - 342.
