Der Osterhas
(Sung text for setting by K. Kern)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Nun kommt das Osterhäslein bald
Gesprungen aus dem grünen Wald,
Will allen braven Kinderlein
Viel Eier legen ins Nest hinein.

Was frißt das Osterhäslein gern?
Frißt's wohl Rosinen und Mandelkern?--
Nein, -- Blümchen, gelb und rot wie Blut,
Und grünes Gras, das schmeckt ihm gut.

Dann legt es auch ein rotes Ei,
Vielleicht ein gelbes auch dabei,
Und springt geschwinde husch, husch, husch
Dann wieder fort in Wald und Busch.

Komm, Osterhäschen, komm zu mir,
Dein Nestlein ist schon fertig hier
Von weichem Moos gar zart und fein.
Leg' nur manch schönes Ei hinein.
