Notte cara, deh!
(Sung text for setting by G. Händel)
 Matches base text
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Notte cara, deh!
Riportami’l mio ben!

Parmi ascolta un lieve moto...
ah no! Tarde abbastanza
non ancor son l’ore:
pur molto è scorso della notte,
e forse dalla secreta stanza or parte,
or scende quella furtiva scala...
a piè di quella or s’arresta,
a guardingo pone fuor della soglia
il guardo solo, solitario si vede;
ecco s’avanza, al vestibulo
or giunge della mia prima stanza.
La porta è sol socchiusa...
odo rumore, apri entra vieni ah no!
m’inganna amore; oh quanto è
l’aspettar colmo di pene!

Notte cara, deh!
Riportami’l mio ben!
