Quando avvien, che mi rammenti
 (Sung text for setting by A. Caldara)
 Matches base text
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Quando avvien, che mi rammenti
di quel giuoco maledetto,
perdo tutti i sentimenti,
mi si gela il cor nel petto,
e mi par fin di sentire
quelle scosse, e non so dire,
se sia dubbio, o verità.

Or se mai per mio flagello
tal di questi copertari
ti ritrovi nel castello;
signor Duca patti chiari:
o il furfante se ne vada,
o che Sancio per la strada,
donde venne tornerà.

Composition:

    Set to music by Antonio Caldara (1670 - 1736), "Quando avvien, che mi rammenti ", 1727, first performed 1727
