A Schlosser haut an G'sell'n g'hat,
Der haut su longsam g'feilt,
Und wenn er z'Mittog g'ess'n haut,
Dau ober haut er g'eilt.
Der eiherst in der Schüssel drin,
Der letzt ah wieder drauß,
Es iß ka Mensch su fleißi g'west
Ban Tisch, in ganzen Hauß. 

Öiz haut a maul der Master g'sagt:
G'sell!  dös versteh ih nith,
Es iß doch su mei Lebta g'west,
Und weil ih denk, die Ried:
Su wöi mer erbet ißt mer ah;
Ba dir geihts nith a su,
Su longsam haut noh kahner g'feilt,
Und ißt su g'schwind wöi du.

Ja, sagt der G'sell:  döß waß ih scho,
Haut all's sein gout'n Grund,
Des Ess'n wörd halt goar nith lang,
Die Ärbet verzi Stund.
Wenn aner möist an ganz'n Tog
In an Stück ess'n fort,
Thät's af die Letzt su longsam geih,
Als wöi ban Feil'n dort.
