Morgenrot
(Sung text for setting by Y. Kilpinen)
 Matches original text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FIN
Die Morgendämmerung ist zerflossen,
die Sonne über die Wälder loht,
ich grüße mit großen, frohen Augen
das flammende, leuchtende Morgenrot.

O Morgenrot, so lange Jahre
bin ich gegangen in schwarzer Nacht,
mir blühet keine helle Blume,
mir hat kein Sonnenschein gelacht.

Es fiel kein Lichtschein in mein Dunkel,
kein Stern an meinem Himmel stand,
mit kalter Seele, totem Herzen,
so ging ich durch das schwarze Land.

Die Blumen blühn, die Vögel singen,
so wonnig warm die Sonne lacht,
du hast mit deiner hohen Liebe
aufs neue mich zur Welt gebracht.
