qui corro a volo,
d'un bel fato costante
per pubblicar la gloria in questo suolo.
E s'audì, 'l sommo Giove i voti ardenti
delle Britanne genti,
che per l'alto Imeneo
l'una a gara dell'altra al Ciel porgeo.
E decretò quel fulgido motore
che de' sposi graziosi, augusti, generosi
formerebbe un sol cor, celeste amore:
che darian di virtù glorioso esempio:
che saria di lor fama il mondo d'un tempio:
che goderian d'una felice calma:
che dal livor sempre otterian la palma:
e che a pro di ciascun, il Ciel fecondo
daria lor prole ad illustrar il mondo.
