wo nirgend er die Ruhe fand,

als treuer Troubadour.

Note provided by Johann Winkler: Randhartinger's deviations show a certain tendency: they paint the troubadour as a bit less faithful than Tauber's text does. It could be speculated that Randhartinger's text is an early version of Tauber's, who, when he published the poem, slightly modified it to avoid offending a conservative public.
