        A bird outside my window, As I lay in bed, awake, Was singing, singing as though its heart would break And I wondered for a moment, What could the reason be, So I said, "You saucy songster, why sing so joyfully?" Just then I caught the glimmer in the mirror on the wall, of the first faint flush of morning, And I understood it all!
