Jesu Wiegenlied
 (Sung text for setting by L. Greger)
 Matches base text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Still ist's im kleinen Gemach,
leis' klettert der Mond übers Dach,
neigt verstohlen sein gülden Horn,
träuft ins Aug' dir ein Schlummerkorn;
heimlich ein Engelein lacht.
Schlafe, mein Knabe, gut' Nacht!

Wonnig in klar stiller Luft
webet von Narden ein Duft,
wigt sich ein kleines Vöglein im Baum,
singt mir mein feines Bübchen in Traum,
flieget zu Neste dann sacht;
schlafe, mein Knabe, gut' Nacht!

Ochselein schlafen und Kuh,
müde Welt ging nun zur Ruh',
Brünnlein plätschert im Sternenschein,
Hirten und Könige schlummerten ein.
Vater im Himmel hält Wacht;
schlafe, mein Knabe, gut' Nacht!
