Wenn der frühe Morgen lächelt, wenn die Abendkühle fächelt, immer, immer denk' ich dein. In der mitternächt'gen Hülle, selbst in meiner Träume Stille fällt dein süßes Bild mir ein. In des Rheines schönem Lande wie am fernen Donaustrande möcht' ich immer bei dir sein. Wenn nach unnennbarem Leide tröstend nahet einst die Freude, dann vergiss nicht, Mutter, mein.
