Så tyst! det hviskar i Skogen om hänsvunna dar,
då älskad och ung han var.

Välkomna små Elfvor, jag känner er väl,
I dansen tills strängarnes lek.
Som lefvande toner I smeken min själ,
I gören mig blödig och vek.
Som skyarne svepa kring solen sitt flor,
I svalken det qval som i hjertat bor.
