Ugye Jani?
(Sung text for setting by D. D'Antalffy)
 See original
Language: Hungarian (Magyar)
Ugy-e, Jani, meggyógyulok tavaszra?
Visszakapom a régi szinem?
Mikor a napfény a rügyet fakasztja
Ugy-e, hogy nem fog fájni ugy a szivem?

Te sem fogsz majd annyit virrasztani
Arczodról eltünik a bánat,
Megyünk sétálni majd, ugy-e Jani?
S én felveszem kis kékbatiszt ruhámat.

Hol sejtelmesen zúgnak a platánok,
Vágyom fejem válladra hajtani
S te csókjaiddal két szemem lezárod,
Úgy mint tavaly emlékszele? Mért sírsz, Jani?

Composition:

Set to music by Dezső D'Antalffy (1885 - 1945), "Ugye Jani?" [ voice and piano ], from Fünf ungarische Lieder, no. 3

Text Authorship:

  • by Imre Farkas (1879 - 1976), "Ugy-e, Jani?"
