Waldliebe
(Sung text for setting by B. Randhartinger)
 Matches original text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Fort, nur fort, durch Busch und Zweige,
Eh' die flücht'ge Lust entweicht,
Leert den Becher bis zur Neige,
Den Natur uns liebend reicht.

Frisch getrunken, nur getrunken,
Frühlingshauch und Bergesluft,
Und gesunken, frisch gesunken
Hin in Moos und Gräserduft.

Frei und froh, wie Hornesklänge,
Möcht' ich wohl den Wald durchzieh'n,
Schmeichelnd durch die Thalesenge,
Hallend durch die Klüfte flieh'n.

Wie die frühe Morgensonne
Voll von sel'gem Liebesglüh'n,
Möcht' ich tauchen, o der Wonne!
In das reiche, junge Grün.

Möchte, wie der Sturm erbrausend,
Wald! o Wald! voll wilder Lust,
Jubelnd, wühlend, flügelnd, sausend,
Werfen mich an deine Brust!
