Blumentrauer
 (Sung text for setting by J. Lang)
 Matches original text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Ein Blümlein welkt im Garten
   In stiller Traurigkeit;
Wer will sein sorgsam warten
   In dieser rauhen Zeit?

Komm, Blümlein, laß dich pflücken;
   Eh noch dein Glanz erstirbt,
Sollst du das Herz mir schmücken,
   Das bald wie du verdirbt!

Bald stirbt an unserm Leide
   Die letzte Wurzel ab,
Dann leget man uns beide
   In ein gemeinsam Grab.
