och bind mig en krans utav blommor och blad,
du dansande docka i solen!
 
Så dansa, min docka, tills dansen är slut,
så svävande lätt som en slöja,
så dansa, min docka, så dansa och njut,
i gladelig dans må du dröja!
 
Så dansa, så dansa så lustigt ikring,
när spelmannen gnider fiolen,
snart skall jag dig giva en gyllene ring,
du dansande docka i solen!
