Ein ewig klarer Himmel wacht;

Es stürmt der Wind in alle Welt, 
Laß stürmen, Kind, laß stürmen! 
Ich weiß, daß von dem Himmelszelt 
Kein Sternlein d'rob herunterfällt, 
Drum laß die Winde stürmen! 

Und scheid' ich auch in Thränen fort, 
Laß scheiden mich, laß scheiden!  
Ich weiß, die Liebe ist mein Hort, 
Ich lieb' dich hier, und lieb' dich dort,
