Marins dévots à la Vierge Marie,
vous savez que sur vous sa main reste penchée,
et si la vague vous lave de la vie,
que la vague vous lave aussi de vos péchés.

Marins, quand vous priez autour du capitaine,
sous le ciel étoilé que partagent les voiles,
vous savez que sur vous elle n'est pas lointaine
cette main qui scintille, sa main, la bonne étoile.

Marins dévots à la Vierge Marie,
vous savez que sur vous sa main reste fermée,
et si la vague vous lave de la vie,
que la vague vous lave aussi de vos péchés.

Marins, quand vous verrez pleurer le capitaine
et la mer arracher la foudre à la misaine,
vous verrez dans les nues se déchirer des voiles...
