im Gelärme von Markt und Messe -
meiner Kindheit erblühte Blässe:
meinen ernsten Engel vergesse -
seine Güte und sein Gewand,
die betenden Hände, die segnende Hand, -
in meinen heimlichsten Träumen behalten
werde ich immer das Flügelfalten,
das wie eine weiße Zypresse
hinter ihm stand...
