Ich wandle traumverloren und weiß nicht, wie's geschah: Hast Treue mir geschworen und bist nun nicht mehr da. Es brennen mir die Wangen wie erst, da ich dich sah; heiß möcht' ich dich umfangen, und du, du bist nicht da. Das Leid tät' ich erwerben, das blieb mir treu und nah. Mit ihm auch werd' ich sterben: Du bist ja nicht mehr da!
